This summer with MANGEL KLICKS LIMITED was such a great experience. I came in hoping to learn more about biomedical engineering and medical devices, but I walked away with so much more. Yeah, so much more! I got hands-on with tender documentation, learned the ins and outs of medical device distribution, and even got some life-changing advice from the CEO ,Dr. Charles Kwamena Ackon on personal growth. There’s one statement he made which I recite and meditate as part of my affirmations, ”Victoria, I need you to be great for your own good” and I’m sure my fellow interns also got their daily affirmations from Dr. Charles. Thank you so much, Dr. I truly loved those inspiring sessions.

Statement on the occasion of the Training of National Ambulance Service (NAS) Personnel on Critical Care and Ambulatory devices
“……. You don't see what you are doing for the country, but you are doing a lot. And when the history of the country is written as far as emergency medical services are concerned, there is a big page for all of you. Now, those of us who have been at the helm of affairs in the emergency medical service system do appreciate the role staff of the EMS and others are playing in saving lives. Having worked in the hospital for some time before joining the EMS, we realized that obviously, without emergency medical services, we would have had a lot of mortalities on our hands because just in 2022 alone, we attended to over 38,000 patients...”

...“But on occasion like this, I cannot start any speech without appreciating my brother, Dr. Charles Ackon, CEO of Mangel Klicks Limited immediately. You will be surprised that I have known Dr. Ackon for 20 years. I knew him when he was a country representative for a pharmaceutical company back in the day, and he did a very fantastic job. He is a great man, so let us appreciate him. Now, thanks to people like Dr. Charles Ackon, all the equipment you see in the various institutions, and especially what you are now going to benefit from, I think his initiatives have paid off. And it was due to perseverance, otherwise he would have given up on this equipment. It was giving him sleepless nights and headaches, and it hasn't stopped yet. But he's a man who refuses to give up. If there's a word synonymous with perseverance, I think that name is Dr. Charles Ackon. So, I think we need to appreciate him for that.” If only everybody in the country had the same ideas as Dr. Charles has and made sure that every day, we improve our emergency medical services, I bet you Ghana would have been a better place to live …...”

...What we try to do is to build your capacity as much as we can because emergency care services are so dynamic; everyday things are changing with innovations, new technologies, and new equipment. Whatever knowledge you have, don't be greedy, don't be selfish, don't keep it to yourself. Okay? It's the same with emergency medical services.
